Upcoming Events at the OBC:
THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF SACRED LEADERSHIP:
“Romanticism and Sacred Embodiment as the Fuel for Sacred Leadership and Global Activism”
2nd retreat: Feb 29th-March 4th, 2012
The romantic spirit is our connection with all the women and men throughout history who refuse to give up their ideals, their sacred longing and their passion. The romantic spirit in us is the fire of the divine fueling our courage and our ability to build a world that is just and sustainable. By accessing and developing the romantic spirit in us not only do we empower our stance in the world but we nurture our dance with each other and our daily celebration of eternal beauty.

“A path is a way of solidarity, of sharing the beauty with all the
others on the way; it is also
a sharing of the pain
and the struggle with all others on the way...We all share it.”
Matthew Fox
“What fills me with hope is that millions of human beings are now,
in the fire of our current crises, waking up to the need for inner and outer
transformation, making possible the quantum evolutionary leap
I have been describing. The time for the Birth of Sacred Activism on
a global scale has arrived. Everything is now at stake and everything is possible.”
Andrew Harvey

“We need the manyness of religious forms not only to hold a fuller picture of divinity and ourselves, but to humble our hearts.”
Beverly Lanzetta
“The study of other religions besides one’s own will give a grasp of the rock-bottom unity of all religions and afford a glimpse also of the universal and absolute truth which lies beyond the ‘dust of creeds and faiths’. Let no one even for a moment entertain the fear that a reverent study of other religions is likely to weaken or shake one’s faith in one’s own.”
Mahatma Gandhi
The mission of the Olive Branch Center is to teach and promote the ideas of spiritual and religious inclusion, as well as global solidarity through classes, publications and events. We encourage all spiritual journeyers from diverse faiths and traditions to enter into a rich, respectful, inspiring, and complementary dialogue of the heart. We recognize the urgent need for spiritual people from all traditions to join together in realizing and upholding the sacred unity of life and to find solutions for helping to bring peace and healing to the victims of oppression and violence, particularly the children, and for helping to bring restoration to our distressed planet.
